语气(Mood)在科技英语中的用法
祈使语气在其他语体中用的最多的是表示请求、命令、建议,而在科技英语中祈使语气多用于以下几种情况:
释义:不可将本机放在温度过高,灰尘太多,易受震和潮湿的地方。
例句:Place a clean nail in a solution of copper sulphate, and the nail will be coated with red copper. 释义:把一枚干净的钉子放在硫酸铜溶液中,钉子就会镀上一层红色的铜。
例句:Suppose that the magnet moves away from the coil, then the flux will be decreasing. 释义:假定把磁铁从线圈中拔出,那么磁通量就会减少。
例句:If it were at a temperature of 32 degrees Fahrenheit, this cubic inch of hydrogen would contain about 880 billion atoms. 释义:如果温度在华氏32度,这一立方英寸的氢就包含大约有个原子。
